According to the Sims Wiki, "Bars open at 11 AM and close at 3 AM the next day, making them open considerably earlier and longer than other types of juice-selling venues. All bars feature stages for bands to play on at gigs.

Celebrities of up to two stars will visit Sports Bars, but only one will visit at a time. Sports Bars attract Athletic Sims, Daredevils, Party Animals, and Sims that Love the Outdoors. These bars also attract Vampires and Sims in the Professional Sports Career. Bookworms, Cowards, Snobs, Loners and Sims that are Shy or Hate the Outdoors will avoid this bar.
Sports bars encourage Sims to work on their Athletic skill.
